Short answers about the fight module, fight profiles, playing fights yourself, Turbo, PvP, challenges, summons and Dofus updates.
How bots play their fights, and how to change the way they do.
Can a bot fight on its own?
Yes. Switch on Play this bot's fights on the bot's Fight tab, and the fight module places the character, says it's ready and plays every turn, in Full socket mode as in MITM mode. See The fight module.
Does the bot attack monsters by itself?
No. The fight module plays fights, it doesn't start them. Attacking a group is the job of the bot's package, or yours on a relayed session. Once the fight starts, the module takes over.
Do I need a fight profile?
No. With Profile left empty, the bot plays the default profile, which adapts to any character: the role its class plays first, the range its spells reach, the spells it really has. Make a profile when you want it to play differently. See Fight profiles.
Are there ready-made profiles?
Yes. @asterobot:base, Asterobot's official package, ships 24, such as @asterobot:base/careful, @asterobot:base/ranged-kite, @asterobot:base/healer or @asterobot:base/boss-fight. They play any class, and once base is installed every bot can pick them. See Ready-made profiles in base.
Does it work for every class?
Yes. The module has no move written for a class. It reads every spell, effect and monster from the game data and works out what the character can do, so a new class, a new spell or a rebalanced one plays without waiting for an Asterobot update, once the new game version is extracted. See How the module decides.
Can I play a fight myself on a relayed session?
Yes. Switch the module off on the Fight tab: you play from the next turn. To leave only some parts to yourself, such as placement, switch them off in the profile's Parts instead. While the module plays, your clicks for what it decides are held back, and the game client says so. See On a relayed session.
Is Turbo safe?
Turbo decides the same things as the other speeds, but answers at once after every cast, faster than any real game client. The server accepts it, but it's easy to notice. Normal plays at the game client's pace. See Speed.
Does it play duels and other fights against players?
Not by default: the module plays fights against monsters, and is off in any other fight. Check Aggressions, Duels, Kolossium or Perceptors and prisms under Fights it plays on the bot's Fight tab to have them played, and pick a Profile in PvP fights if they need another profile. The module doesn't know enemy characters' spells yet, so it takes more risks there. See The fights it plays.
Does it do challenges?
Not yet: the module doesn't choose challenges. On a relayed session, choosing them stays yours.
Why does my summon do nothing?
Summons that play on their own, such as the Osamodas's, play as usual. Summons you control, such as the Eniripsa's fairies, are played by the module along with the character, with the bot's profile and the summon's own spells. When one still does nothing, see Fight problems.
How do I share a profile?
Export it on the Fight Profiles page and send the .json file. The other person opens Import. A package can also ship profiles, which everyone who installs it gets. See Share profiles.
What happens to my profiles when Dofus updates?
Nothing: they name spells, monsters and states by their game ids, which updates keep. When an update removes something a profile names, the profile still plays and shows a warning such as spell 12345: not in the game data, ignored. Extract the new game version so the module knows the new rules.
