Asterobot doesn't take game files or game data from the Dofus you play. Bots and the Game page work from game versions that Asterobot downloaded from Ankama's download servers. Your first bot downloads one with the default values. Open the download dialog In the sidebar, open Game Manager. Click Download a game. The Download a game version dialog opens, already filled in for the Dofus that bots use. A downloaded game version is a folder of game files that bots, scripts and the Game page can't read as they are. Extracting turns them into game data: the game's tables and texts in a form Asterobot can search and query, plus the pictures the Game page draws. A version must be extracted before you can add a bot with it. If Extract data after downloading was checked when you downloaded the version, extraction has already started or finished. Game Manager lists every game version Asterobot knows about, with the tools to keep them in shape: check a version's files, add files to it, free disk space or remove it. The page Above the table sit Rescan, Check all chunks and Remove all chunks on the left, and Download a game on the right (Download a game version). Asterobot doesn't follow Dofus patches on its own. Each patch is a new game version, and the version Asterobot already downloaded stays exactly as it was. Go through these steps after a patch, in this order. They matter most in MITM mode, where your bot's game version must match the Dofus you play. A bot that signs in on its own keeps the version set on it until you change it. 1. Check for a new version In Game Manager, open the menu of the version you use. Click Check for latest version.
