Configuration

Server > Config lists every setting of your Asterobot, the ones you changed and the ones still at their default. What you change there is saved in Asterobot's config.toml file at once. What each setting does is in Settings reference. Open it In the sidebar, click Server. Click the Config tab. The page starts with "Every configuration value stored on the Asterobot server. Asterobot has 19 settings, grouped here by what they're about. You change them on Server > Config (The Config page) or in config.toml. Running Asterobot without a command starts it, as you do every day. The same program also has commands for jobs you can do without Asteroboard: listing and downloading game versions, managing the library, and resetting settings or the cache. Asterobot keeps nothing next to the program itself. It stores everything in standard folders of your user profile: one for its settings, one for its data and one for its cache. Knowing which is which tells you what to copy when you back up your Asterobot or move it to another computer. The Server page is about Asterobot itself rather than your bots. Its Status tab tells you whether Asteroboard is connected and which Asterobot it's talking to, and its Console tab shows Asterobot's log as it happens. Preferences holds Asteroboard's own options: how it looks, and which Asterobot it connects to. They're saved in the browser you use, so each browser and each device has its own, and none of them changes anything in Asterobot. Asterobot doesn't update itself: when a new version is out, you replace the program by hand. It takes a few minutes, and your bots, accounts, packages, game versions and settings are all kept.
