Asterobot works together with an account on asterobot.net, the Asterobot website. If you already have one, you can go straight to Download Asterobot.
What the account is for
- Signing Asterobot in. The first time Asterobot starts, it asks you to sign in with your asterobot.net account, and you can't add a bot until it's signed in. Sign in with asterobot.net walks you through it.
- The marketplace. When you install a package from the marketplace, Asterobot fetches it with the account it's signed in with. Sharing a package of your own there also needs an account. See The marketplace.
- The forum. You need it to ask questions and to reply to other players on https://asterobot.net/forums/.
Create it
Open https://asterobot.net and create your account with the website's sign-up option.
You can also wait until Asterobot asks you to sign in. The sign-in code it gives you stays valid for 15 minutes, which leaves time to create the account on asterobot.net first and then confirm the code.
Tip
Asterobot never asks for your asterobot.net password. You only ever type it on asterobot.net itself, and Asterobot gets access through the code you confirm there.
